The AMUA accelerator, an accelerator designed to bring out solutions faced by people with disabilities concerning Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) was at the third phase of its implementation -The Bootcamp. A 10 day series of training held from the 4th to the 13th of November at Sahara Ventures. This phase of the project designed to bring out the best from the already submitted ideas by turning them into prototypes.
Amongst key learning includes geographical reach during project implementation where few regions participated in sending their Ideas. As part of the learning from the first cohort, the AMUA II project team has scaled in almost all corners of the country dividing the nation into six major zones: Southern Highlands, Central, Lake, Northern, Coastal, and the Isles Zone Informing communities, entrepreneurs, innovators, people with disabilities and Government personnel on the opportunity behind AMUA II as we call it the Community engagement phase
Maisha Package, Harakati za Lucy, Mkwawa Art Space and eShangazi were able to inspire and capture the attention of the audience in a different setting. This time around they were able to share numbers and real results, showcasing the people they’ve impacted. They didn’t end there, they further explained their challenges, their aspirations and where they are heading.
